Psalm 27:1

Today I went through some drawers in my scrap room and found years-old items that had been neglected to the point of being totally forgotten. Absolutely EVERYTHING on this card, except for the three pearls embellishing the butterfly, are as old as the hills.

The butterfly was a long-forgotten sticker that had actually lost most of its tackiness. I glittered the backside of the wings so that whatever stickiness was left would not adhere to the background. An old doily sprayed gold was used, string pearls, a border strip, gold glitter, a butterfly sticker, flat-backed gold pearls and wire-rimmed gold ribbon. The scalloped background was also old, old, old. Even the sentiment was a sticker from a purchased package from long ago.

An attempt to show the glitter:

Romans 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.  NLT

Acts 13:38-39
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God--something the law of Moses could never do."  NLT

  1. Love your vintage looking card. It does feel good to put our old stash into use. I have to do this myself sometime, too. Somehow, no matter how old the items are, we can still make something good out of it just like you did. Thanks for submitting your creation to the Incy Wincy Touchy Feely Challenge. Good luck!-Maria Giselle
